Cleshar designed and built the Silwood Sidings Permanent Way and Civils works as part of the London Overground Capacity Improvement Programme (LOCIP). The works comprised the installation of stabling sidings for 10no. five car trains, a new signalling system, traction power and staff welfare facilities.
By implementing an open and collaborative approach with the LOCIP Delivery Team and the project sub-contractors, Cleshar were able to produce a detailed solution from the client’s conceptual designs and enable integration between our project teams and all sub-contractors. Our engineers integrated design information from both the client and supplier systems using Computer-Aided Designs and made the final design solutions available to the client’s representatives, project teams and all sub-contractors.
The immense success of the Project was attributable to the collaboration between the client, designers, and contractor in delivering Silwood Sidings from wasteland to a flagship development within agreed programme milestones.
